December 2006 Kidd Creek, Timmins, Ontario Canada
Two MDT SMARTRemote systems were installed at Xstrata's Kidd Creek Mine in Timmins, Ontario. These systems monitor 5 SMART instruments installed around critical infrastructure at the bottom of the mine, with data uplift to surface via ethernet. eWerks provided: PCB assembly, module assembly, control panel box build, approvals documentation, CAD drawings, and start up assistance.
December 2006 David Bell, Marathon, Ontario Canada
MDT SMARTRemote system was installed in the David Bell Mine, a Barrick Gold and Tech Cominco joint venture. The system monitors 21 SMART instruments in an UHCF stope. Data uplift to surface is via an industrial modem. eWerks provided: PCB assembly, module assembly, control panel box build, approvals documentation, CAD drawings, and start up assistance.
July 2006 Williams Mine, Marathon, Ontario Canada
MDT SMARTRemote system was installed in the Willams Mine, a Barrick Gold and Tech Cominco joint venture. Field bus topology incorporated RS45 repeaters. Data uplift to surface was originally by an industrial modem. During phase two the Probe Monitor was upgraded to 10/100 ethernet. eWerks provided: PCB assembly, module assembly, control panel box build, approvals documentation, CAD drawings, and start up assistance.
